Which is the best (and also cheap) web hosting service?

I was planning to sign up for a domain name. I want a cheap and easy to use web host. Which one would you recommend me?

    Try http://www.klik247.com. they hav very economical hosting plans and cheap domain registrations. they do free Domain Privacy which is charged around $8-$10 by other providers. their email hosting plan gives unlimited email accounts for just $0.99. presently they are running .us and .org domain sale.

    That all depends completely on what you need to accomplish for your site. I use several hosting companies. My favorite for small business (non-ecommerce) is http://www.webhost4life.com. I also use GoDaddy for people’s blogging sites, because of the ease of installation for PHP, WordPress, and other add-ons. There are so many things you need to think about before choosing a web hosting company:

    Budget
    what does your site do
    what functions do you need
    what server-side setup do you want
    how familiar are you with web development and design?
    how much bandwidth are you planning to use
    and much more.

    If you just need a small site for personal use or to display a virtual business card, I would just go with GoDaddy.com. They are competitive and have lot’s of options for non programmers to be able to accomplish much in the way of development. Wordpress is a simple install with them.

    I recently just switched my hosting services to sgc-hosting.com

    Their hosting is great, but not the cheapest per MB of space. They do not oversell their servers which is really a HUGE plus. The support is very personal and friendly and their services are much faster than the several dozen other hosts I’ve tried.

    They do not register domain names (yet), but if you email support@sgc-hosting.com they will help you.

    If their preset packages aren’t what you need, they will make a custom plan for you if you contact them.

    Edit: A few things to watch out for:
    klik247.com isn’t even a REAL web host! It’s just a netearthone account!
    Hosts the provide "unlimited" disc space is a lie, there is no such thing. They often limit the number of files you can have along with file size limits. They also FORCE you to upgrade to dedicated or VPS packages if you use too many resources. I learned all this the hard way!

    HostGator.com hands down. If you only want to host one domain it’s $4.95/mo for unlimited bandwidth and disk space. That’s just craziness.

    The next step up allows you to host unlimited domains, again with unlimited bandwidth and disk space. It’s only five dollars more at $9.95/mo. That’s still craziness.

    Anywhere you look they get unanimously rave reviews for 99.9% uptime, excellent customer support and just general awesomeness. I’ve been using them myself for a month or so, and the control panel is easy to use and has a crapload of neat extras. Additionally, you can get your first month of hosting for $0.01 (yes, one penny) by entering this promotion code when you go to pay: HGCOUPONBLOG

    You can’t beat webhostingperfection.com. Right now they’re doing 70% off their unlimited disk space, bandwidth, and domains package AND you can register domains with them. It’s like 2 bucks a month for premium service, and the people that work there are really nice.

    I agree with mousetop Hostgator is your best bang for the buck. Compare them to any other hosting and you’ll see. The one cent promotion is true but don’t know for how long. I am currently reading through tutorials on website building with xsitepro and plan on using Hostgator.

    I’ve compared Hostgator, 1and1, godaddy, hostdogs and others and Hostgator is by far the best value.
