Where can I buy internet hits for my website at a low cost?

I want to get more hits for my website but I don’t want to waste money on Adwords type pay per click. Does anyone know a site where I can buy hits (genuine users) cheaply?

    I have run many websites in the past and that will get you no where. There is no true service that will provide "genuine" users to your site. And if you ever buy anything, you do not buy hits, that is just counted when you page loads, not if someone actually visits your site. If you purchase anything, purchase visits. But the best thing I can say is that never purchase traffic. Why don’t you use that money to do some pay-per-click with either google or yahoo, that will be real visitors and not software produced fake visits!

    Let me get this straight: You want to pay people to come to your website, so that its hit count will be raised? That would be unethical.

    Put more interesting stuff on your site. If you build it, they will come.
