What sort of web hosting package is best for running / reselling an audio streaming/storage service?
If I wanted to run a service which would operate maximum in state of art server side scripting capabilities for online music collaboration running through the servers, and also for reselling storage server space by the gigabyte, what packages give the best scope for this?
Not looked at online hosting for a while so thought I’d ask the community here first.

Your own server, since you want to be state of the art at all times. Many hosting companies lag 6 months or a year (or more) behind.
You want a package that gives you the most bandwidth and the most disk space. Running on a Linux box. Preferably not shared (not a virtual server, a dedicated server).
It is quite requirements are quite different in terms of hardware requirements. E.g for online music you will need a good streaming server. But for storage service, you will need a top notch SANS storage in place.
Either of which are not readily available, you will need to invest quite a lot of $$$.
I would suggest you to go for managed dedicated server because you’ll need extensive resource, high security and full power & control of your web server.
