    This is a tough question to answer, because there is not necessarily a best web hosting company in general, but there is a best web hosting company for each individual person.

    I would suggest looking at this really good ranking of the top 10 web hosts:

    It also includes plenty of web hosting reviews for all the companies.

    Personally, I often use http://www.directnic.com/ for my hosting needs. Their pricing is very reasonable, and they are not outsourced like so many others. You should stay away from godaddy.com and networksolutions.com. They are by far the biggest thorn in my side when I am dealing with new clients.
