   When looking for a website, that is free, to host your web pages, many can be found.
   However, most either advertise too much, use flash (which lags old computers), don’t support server-side languages, or just plain suck.

   000webhost.com is a free web host that has PHP/MySQL (server-side/database) support. Their web pages are totally yours, they have no advertisements. Also, they supply templates as well if needed.

    If your current internet provider is Earthlink, AOL, SBC Global and others which provide a homepage; you can easily FTP your own webpage designs as a new homepage. And using a redirection service such as mydomain.com or the forwarding of a parked domain name at godaddy.com, you can easily "mask" the homepage URL with a proper domain name. So in a sense, you have a working ecommerce website disguised as a homepage while still paying your normal monthly Internet provider’s access and hosting fee of the homepage.

    If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don’t go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying.

    If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months’ time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
