I am new to internet marketing and have some websites I need to be promoting to enable me make at least ,000 monthly what are the best tools that drives traffic and converts to sales

I sell balloons for balloon sculptures, they are kinda specific, I sell 260q balloons online, and I have pretty competitive prices. I am new to this, it has been up for a couple months, and in that time I have had about 1500 visitors to my site (a lot of the traffic has been free, through link building) and some of the are through very specific adwords campaign, that is targeted to people looking for this specific balloon type in the united states. But even with all this browsing, not 1 single person has bought even 1 bag, what am I doing wrong? The site is http://www.bobbyballoonz.com it’s driving me nuts, and increasing the budget didn’t really help, just shelling out more money on the clicks, I’m going crazy.
I have gotten some great feedback in the first couple of answers, you guys were great thanks so much. I have refined the page a couple of times now, and I got my content up higher "above the fold" and what not. I consolidated that product page and moved all that "jibber jabber" stuff to a completely different page, and got the products wam, bam, right in your face. I also have been working on some more SEO stuff from a book I purchased called "The Small Business Owner’s Handbook to SEO", it’s working pretty well, and I have gotten at least the product page a little bit better "optimized" for search results. The remainder was a lot of people who didn’t even really read the post (I don’t need more traffic at the moment, I need conversions) thanks for posting a lot of links I am not going to click… LOL

I would like to know how effective, internet marketing is eg: if you have paid to have a banner on a website, or had your site optimised to appear on the first page of search engine. How has the following worked for you

Banner ads/optimisation = how much more traffic on your website = How much more calls you have recieved and business gained?

Someone help. I have created a new social network site but the problem is, I need traffic! I have tried everything including SEO, writing articles, joining in forums, opt-in-emails & yet, seem not to be driving in traffic. I’m aware that there are other alternative like google adwords but, I’m worried about the fees & in regards to getting traffic from other social networking sites, I feel that I shouldn’t because well, I don’t want other social networks to hear about my website because of rivalry purposes.

I have gotten a summons in a civil action today about a website I was running.

I was buying the keyword of their business name to draw traffic to a review page that compared their product to another one.

The site was not slanderous at all and what was stated was fact.

I am not sure exactly how to respond to this. It says "you must serve on the plaintiff an answer to the attached complaint or motion under rule 12 of the fed rules of civil procedure.

Does anyone have any advice? I think this is part of something bigger as others have tried to sue Google for infringement.

Any advice would be great or if you need more information just let me know.

Hi, I’ve developed a new classified advertising site: www.dragonads.co.uk
The site is simply for the buying and selling of second hand items much like some of the existing sites already out there. However I’ve included some nice features that some of the other sites lack.
The problem is how do I get people to use the site? I’m getting traffic as I’m paying for Google AdWords, but no one seems to want to register or place an advert on a brand new site. (Understandably so, I mean why advertise on a site no one else uses?) But the current popular established sites must have started somewhere with no ads and no registrations, so how did they get started and get people using their sites?

I am interested in going with Site Build It to start a website. After doing a lot of research in how websites get indexed into Google, Yahoo, Ask, etc, I have found that Site Build It seems to really be a time saver while helping your site get traffic.

However, the price for Site Build It seems pretty steep. It seems to average out to a month. This is not bad, but putting 0 bucks up front for my budget is. My only fear is that there are hidden fees. Do they try to upsell you to anything else promising you will do better? Do you have to put in a lot of money to google adwords to ensure your website will draw traffic? I have seen a lot of blogs and such about site build it that say you have to follow it exactly for it to work.

There are a lot of sites/products that promise a good thing, but fail to mention there are other things you have to buy. I am not looking for anyone giving me the run around then providing me with their link to give them profit.
Its not that I do not want to give someone a profit for their hard work, but for right now I am just wanting to get all of the information I can before I invest my time and money.

I would also like to know how much you can make with this program. I understand it is not a get rich quick. I currently have about 5 blogs that I work with that have affiliates and ad programs and realize that it takes time. I also understand that it depends on what niche you choose.

I am not looking to dig into anyone’s personal life, but feel that at least getting an idea of what I can potentially make per month or per year would be the same as going onto the occupational handbook to look up a job and the potential income. I recently got banned from google and managed to get me account back, there were significant amount of INVALID clicks thanks to my stupid colleguages.

So now that I have got the account back; i want to get traffic to my website via ADWORDS. Buy low cost keywords and sell high (hoping that the traffic makes clicks on my ads). I heard there was a similar program which has recieved postive response.

I need to know if this is a good idea, and is there a good chance for me getting banned. I do not want pay too much for advertising because too much traffic for a newbie is a bad idea and might result in permanent ban.

I bought a promotional code off eBay and entered it in an hour ago. My question is…if I buy more codes, can I keep entering them, or does Google limit the number of promotional codes that I can use?

Also, can anyone recommend me any other places I can advertise that won’t cost me tons of money? I charge MUCH less than all of my competitors, so it is very tough for me to pay a lot. I just love helping people and don’t feel like people should charge an arm and a leg.

I advertise my site with google adwords to bring Targeted Traffic to my website, But the problem is that i get most clicks from low Pagerank websites and the traffic i get isn’t targeted traffic, and most of them leave my site without buying anything…..

so what i wanna know, is there anyway to block my ads from appearing in low pr websites ?

We want a scalable solution that is affordable but robust enough to handle an sharp increase in demand.

1) Performance – We want our hosting to be able to scale quickly to handle an increase in traffic.
2) Email – We will be sending our members critical event notification emails that we don’t want listed as SPAM. Anything we can do in the hosting environment to improve this would be great.
3) Security – We don’t have full-time staff, so it would be great if more of the IT maintenance / updates / monitoring that can be done by the hosting provider.
4) Cost – we have a limited budget, and we can’t get into a long-term contract.

Technical details: Windows hosting w/ SQL required.

I could have bursts of traffic here and there – I don’t plan on a lot of traffic right off the bat, but there is the possibility that I will get a lot of traffic at random times and stuff.
