Is there any way I can put an Intel Chip in a PPC Mac?

I’ve heard rumors that 10.6 Snow Leopard for Mac will drop PPC support. I don’t want to buy a new computer, and I want to take a leap into the coming technologies! I currently have a PPC G4 Mac. Please help!

  1. NOPE NADA sorry your SOL the fact of the matter is intels and PPC are like oil and water

  2. That is impossible, Intel and PPC are completely incompatible physically. you may be able to get away with just getting a new motherboard and intel chip but that would be quite difficult and is not supported by Apple.

  3. PPC’s can’t run x86-64 I think…. And Leopard is x86-64

I think I smell it’s new computer time

Check Newegg for prices, they usually are cheaper than Apple even when selling apples

Or you could join the Dark Side and buy a PC >:)
