What is the most effective offline promotional technique in assisting an online PPC search campaign?

Jul 15 2009 Published by eranio under PPC

Of course it depends on the amount of money you are willing to throw into a branding campaign, but which offline promotional channel (print, TV, radio) is most effective in driving consumers online and acquiring new customers? Are there any resources out there that may have covered some of the same ground before?

Jul 14 2009 Published by eranio under PPC

I have run across a few websites (one’s my bank) that ONLY work under Internet Explorer. I know of a workaround for Intel Apple machines, but I have a G4 PPC iBook. None of the Mac browsers I know of will work (Safari, Firefox, Opera, or Camino) for these websites. Any suggestions will be most welcome. Thanks.

What bluetooth stack does the PPC 6700 use?

Jul 05 2009 Published by eranio under PPC

I’m looking at purchasing the PPC-6700 for Alltel. But, I need to make sure that the bluetooth for the device is the Microsoft Bluetooth stack so it will be compatible with the Rockford Fosgate 360.2 that I use in my car.

I’ve seen it mentioned in a few different places that the device has either the Microsoft stack or the Widcomm stack. Which one is it, and how can you tell which one has which? Can it be changed if it’s the wrong one?

What kind of keywords and ad copy to use when marketing for PPC to manufacturers?

Jul 03 2009 Published by eranio under PPC

What kind of keywords and ad copy in PPC can you use to market to manufacturers of electronics, furniture, baby products, furniture and home improvement products? This would be for large manufacturers, not SOHOs. Who is the decision maker at the manufacturer for selling products? Who decides who and how to sell overstocked inventory?

Adword tips

May 12 2009 Published by eranio under PPC, pay per click

Adword tips

Here are a few good Adword tips that will give you the most for your money:
1. Dont run an ad group with more than 5-7 phrases in it and make sure that these phrases appear in your ad title and in your landing page.
2. Always start with phrase and exact and only if you see that the adgroup performs good move to broad.
3. Separate the content network campaigns from the search campaigns so the network campaigns wont take your ctr down.
4. Try to use numbers, symbols and unique words in your ads so they will catch the eye of the surfer.
5. Start bidding high in order to get a high ctr and then gradually start lowering your bids while trying to keep the previous position.
6. Go for 2-5 positions – you dont want the number 1 since it has too many clicks from people who are just clicking the first result and if you’ll go under 5 you wont get seen as good as you should be.

I hope these Adword tips will help you get started, Adwords is a great source for high quality traffic if you know how to use it right.

Adwords Google tip

May 12 2009 Published by eranio under PPC, pay per click

Adwords Google tip

One of the best Adwords Google tip that I read and implemented when I started publishing on Adwords was the split test tip which states that you must always run two ads for any adgroup that you create. When running two ads you can always improve your ctr and see which ad and which spelling get more people to click on. It is usually smart to wait until you get around 60 clicks before you start changing an ad and you must also make sure that your ads are running evenly and dont let Google optimize the ads for you (you can do it through the edit campaign option). If you need to check which ad preforms better just use a site like http://splittester.com/ – enter the data into it and see which ad should you keep and which one you should improve and try to outrank the good one with. Implement this great Adwords Google tip and I am sure that you’ll see better results in no time.
